Outfitting Your Ventilation System

As a home inspector, I am rarely surprised by what I see on a job site. Recently, however, I completed an inspection that literally had me in hysterics: The air vent in the attic was tailored with a pair of jeans. Aside from the obvious comedic element, I couldn’t help but think that this attempt to remedy a heating and cooling issue was actually interfering with the airflow in the attic.

Ventilation in an attic is vital for a home. Choosing the best type would best be determined by a roofing contractor who will take into consideration both the roof design and the airflow in your house.

Remember that there is always a solution to any issue you may encounter in your home. Don’t hesitate to ask, especially as it could save you time, money, and a lot of aggravation
